Wyse Wy-30 keyboard mod

Hello all

I am looking for some help doing a USB mod to this WYSE WY-30 keyboard....does anybody have any advice?

Figure out how this thing transmits the key codes and then use a microcontroller that reads the codes and sends them to the computer over HID.
<fellbuendel> it's arduino, you're not supposed to know anything about what you're doing

I did find that and have the ATmega on the way. Have never used a microcontroller before though.

Then remember not to mess up your fuse bits as that can (almost) brick AVRs.
Also, if youre new to AVR MCUs then maybe try BASCOM. You'll get much help for it at http://elektroda.pl

It would be worth you looking at the Arduino stuff which has libraries for implementing USB keyboards. Even if you don't use it directly, looking at how they implement their Keyboard/USB stuff to will you some idea of how to program the MCU directly.
