International postege is steep. From the east to the rest of the planet is cheap though, funny there, the PO must figure that that is a way to make money, by doing volume. The funny thing about post is that international letters and parcels via post are actually no charge items to the sending country unless POD is required.

You may be wrong if I understood you correctly. Universal Postal Union has developed tools to charge the countries which send out more mail than gets sent in. This article is old but I guess it's still pretty much the same:

I have a power supply from my Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ 4disk RAID storage system that literally blew up when turning it on...after powering it down about 5 minutes prior. (you know, the pop as the magic smoke escapes...and there was quite a bit of magic smoke.)
Is that something you would be interested in looking at? I have a replacement coming in the mail, and it is not worth fixing.
But it has the usual bulging capacitors...I am personally curious at what popped finally, and why at turn on, when it had been running continuously for months.
If you would like to take a look, I will look into shipping it...if you are not interested, it goes in the trash.

When the wall wart on the router did a toasty I did not bother repairing it, just connecteed it to the UPS battery directly. Has no effect on it other than a slightly higher charge current, which is not a worry on this UPS. This though is an old unit, with an isolated control circuit and an earthed battery bank.
