Title: Can you make a video Dave?
Post by: Kilobytez95 on November 07, 2013, 07:02:19 pm
I don't know if this is the right place to post this because I'm new here but i wanted to know if Dave coudl get a hold of an old portable electric heater and do a teardown video. I want to build one for fun but i don't know much about electronics yet.

That would potentially be the most boring teardown ever, depending on how the heater is constructed. I don't think Dave would take it on. I can however point you in this direction.

What's Inside? ....Fan heater, Dimplex FX-T 20 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrivJmLmqtM#)

Here's a fan, heating element, switches, a thermostat and a fail-safe thermostat.  I don't see that video lasting longer than 2 minutes - how the heck did they get a 25 minute video?

I'm at work and can't view it, or I'll get caught for using too much bandwidth.
