I'm reading, and lately seems (?) like EEVBLOG postings came down, a bit, with the Warfare crisis. That makes sense, however, I'm wondering; what role does the optimistic and helpful topics have, for folks just simply looking to close out their day / evening, with some subject, far far away from any 'political landscape'.
   That's the question; because it's not necessarily a delusional 'everything is great', but rather, simply a break, maybe, before sleep takes over.
   I know that, for me, a really really GOOD movie will put me out, there in bed with headphones.  A boring movie, and insomnia strikes.

   The best example, lately, is NASA - YOUTUBE, on the outer planets probes, with stunning detail.
EEVBLOG postings often have that 'no politics' quality, and I'm starting to notice, that's maybe a difficult line to walk, reining in some of the more extreme (obvious) biased.
   But, I certainly don't think such 'silly', or 'satirical' threads are out of place...especially when it's nightime as that's traditionally for more 'light' pursuits (like a good old fashioned Three Stooges Movie.
   I'll tune back in, on THE WAR, later.  Besides, I do not feel an 'honest' relation with most media;
In that context, it is even MORE valid, to wander off, to some pleasant, funny, interesting VIDEO posted related to my passion for electronics.

Its the hands on nature of electronics that makes it a flow experience for me..

Not everything on this forum is "escape" material, but there is enough variety that I can pick and choose most days to find something useful for that purpose.  Many a day has been spent here feeling ill or avoiding work (I just realised I currently fit into both categories  :P).

Yes, WHALES, I sporadically have to go in bed, due to 'chronic fatique' / LYME disease.  Put on something constructive-like, as simple bed rest is, obviously, BORING in itself.  But with a decent video narration can lay and listen.  For example, (back to April 24th 2021 post, by Tesla Engineer), I've been able to, finally, make better sense, of emerging 'SELF-DRIVING' technology.
   As to the more frivolous, keeping a couple 'limits' allows for some 'unwinding'.

You ought to hear my (whole) distressed CAT story, regarding shut-in situations...That cat, stuck alone in house next door, while owner slowly dying in nursing home, I 'befriended', (thru front window).
Point is, for that distressed shut-in alone CAT, my laser pointer TOY was a hit; That was all she wanted, play, play, play.  Point being; she demanded THAT simple / stupid frivolous game, of chase the red dot.
  8 months was a long time, for me, there too...

Yes!

Every where else on the Interwebs mostly contains a fictional narrative at its base...
