Is there a way to ignore threads?

• Is there a way to ignore threads?

• Some threads seem to go on forever - thousands of replies and years and more it seems.
  Is there a way to *automatically* ignore these threads so I never see them on my screen again?

• There is if you're using the "show unread posts" system.
  
  Just tick the threads you don't want to see any more and then click the "Ignore topics" button
