My friend Sherman, Hanford, Kings County public librarian is a big fan of the Kindle.  He upgraded to the latest version of the Kindle.  The Kindle is take apart able.  A Li ion battery pack is available in  You could view it at:

Screw drivers are becoming useless to open an I Pod Classic, I Pad, and Mac Mini.  I do not own any of these.  The Kindle Lab 126 is located in Cupertino, California, U.S.A. not far from Apple Computers.

The only down side is the Kindle is not in color like the Nook.  The Nook color has no 3G.  The Nook has a good web browser and SD memory card slot.  Kindle has been hacked to be able to surf the web and applications by hackers.
