You probably waited too long to call yourself a "media startup", perhaps call yourself a podcast company, they certainly seems to be selling for insane amounts at the moment.

Man, you looked like a kid in that first video.  ;D

Thanks for providing all this free content. Your channel, along with Mr Calrson's Lab, Rossman, Techmoan, and some other tech-oriented YouTubers is all the "TV" I need (literally: don't even have a TV).

Congratulations on 10-years Dave! It's been great! No, things don't need to change. Grass root's doesn't change that much (the tools we use do, but the support, elbow grease, and motivation from guys like you are all we need to get our asses in gear).

As you put stuff back on the other side, why not use 2 meters of empty bench area to shoot a new $300 lab startup? Ah, maybe not.. you're gonna be too tired, but that is one episode in need of a revamp, IMO.

PS: just watched BLAB#18 - Old Component Drawers, did you know I still use 32 of those? They stack better than others..

7 years here, and I realise that I first started with dial up internet watching the videos, and that is what made me switch to DSL connection, as it dropped in price to become cheaper than the dial up phone calls.

It's only 2 years old and hardly anything would have changed since then.
EDIT: Just took a look again, and it's 3.5years old, and yep, some things could be improved.
What about a $500 version?

Why don't you make a poll?

IMO, with a TS-100 clone, Aneng DMM's, RD-tech PSU's and Owon isolated 20Mhz scope, it can still be done for $300

Congratulations, Dave! I started watching when you still were in the garage and remeber some funny videos such as the "angry birds" or the "how to entertain a nerd". I still love the intro with the spinning board, although the current epilogue is quite cool as well.

Cheers to more decades to come!

Oh, the "whys" of the datasheets... The information is there not to be an axiomatic truth, but instead each speck of data must be slowly inhaled while carefully performing a deep search inside oneself to find the true metaphysical sense...

Congratulations Dave. :)

You got me hooked with the cheap chinese multimeter rant eevblog #6 part2.

Over the years I learned a lot from your videos and even more form the forum. Thank you very much, Dave and every fellow forum member!

Looking back I am unsure whether to be amazed or to be a bit horrified to have watched almost every of your videos since #6. ;)
You definitly nailed a big part of my interests with your content mix along the years. :)

I really like the unscripted aproach and the fact, that as opposed to many other youtube channels eevblog never was static but constantly developed over the years.
Some episode formats went, some new ones came and regulary you asked us viewers which ones we liked even though the youtube like-system gives kind of a majority vote for each video.

Thank you very much!

Just to point out the obvious: All those old episodes are still on Youtube!
And you can watch three of them in the time it takes to watch a single modern episode...  ;)

For a trip down memory lane:

I am bored of local television and your Youtube channel with a few others put them to shame but that is my opinion.

There is a lot good things to learn and I just hope it keeps on going.

It seems to be getting better in terms of detail and that is why I pay for Youtube premium and donate on Patreon and for the perks.

I like the debunking videos you do especially on all the woo woo stuff.

I also like the word "woo woo" as if they trying to pull the wool over my eyes.

I shall make my bold return back to the forum and say congrats on 10 years, Dave!
There was a discussion earlier on a startup bench kit... but I have another idea. I travel a lot, and currently, I don't have a bench anymore (been in storage for about 5 years) What about a portable kit of some sort that you can take with you? Like the real super basics kit when you're in the field? I have mine in a small tool box which consists of a small folding multimeter, a pair of needle-nose pliers, small cutters, solder (60/40), a small roll of 22 AWG wire, an iron and some tip cleaner, extra tips, some small screwdrivers, and even a spare PC board. I'm probably missing a few things, but I can only fit so much!
