Symmetrical Dumpster PC Stacking, just like the Norwest mass turbulence of 1984.
Dave's been dumpster diving again for small form factor PC's.

TELEFUNKEN as such is not around anymore. It is just "TELEFUNKEN Licenses GmbH", a little company that puts badges on chinese products.
The only bit that still exists under the name TRANSRADIO is the former Telefunken Low Frequency RF transmitter manufacturing division.
When the TELEFUNKEN ship was in the process of sinking in the late 80s and 90s I used to work there as an apprentice for radio electronics and worked there afterwards before studying electronics engineering.

Hi All
Long time EEVblog viewer since 2014, first time post.
I have had a business in computer industry, since 1987 (importing Apple II peripherals from the USA), then moving to the IBM compatible PC area in the early 1990's.
I currently supply, repair and upgrade Windows based desktop PC's, laptops, netbooks, etc. I also have a vintage (?) computer collection starting from 1980.
The reason for my post is, back the old days, I used a multi-sync, multi-input 14" CRT monitor for my test bench. About 6 years ago I updated to a Dell 2408WFP 24" LCD monitor.
The problem with this monitor (apparently well known) is it will go into sleep mode when receiving no signal (which is annoying when you are constantly powering a computer on or off, or restarting it).
The sleep mode CANNOT be disabled !.
On seeing Dave using the 24" Telefunken I thought maybe there would be a newer replacement for my sleepy Dell.
Can anyone help ? :o
P.S. To Dave, keep up the repair and teardown videos please, as a trained electronics technician, you have my undivided attention. ^-^

They are OEM keys, so they still won't be "legal".

It is legal (as far as I know) for the holder of a Windows COA (Certificate of Authenticity) label / sticker to legally install that operating system on one PC.
How I came across this was I saw empty desktop cases with a Windows COA labels on them being sold at auctions and trade sales for up to $100 !
I have "reclaimed" quite a few COA labels for Windows 95, 98, Millennium, XP, Vista & 7 from old cases and laptops.

;) everyone should feel free to send me a Picture of a Licence hen the Pc, Laptop,... going to scrap.

Figured I'd reuse this thread to comment on the new second channel video.
I have a couple of the Xeon versions of those systems and came up with this to mount a SSD in em. I'm not sure if steel strapping (fixing bands) are the same everywhere, but worth a shot.

Dave,
it's understandable you don't ship these PC's, and I'm glad that some of them are finding a good home in your giveaways, but with the number of PC's you get from that dumpster you should be able to get some money out of it. Maybe a garage sale once a month (announce them somewhere), or find a local dealer in second hand PC's who wants to buy them in batches.
What happened to that guy who said he wanted to go live in your dumpster and live from the money hey could make from it?
