Answering another viewer question. Can we identify or find an alternative for this SMD part?

I have only seen some parts of Diodes with such a marking pattern, 5 alphanumerics, no other elements, not even the dot for pin 1.

Maybe a factory production device? For example Ricoh has this dc/dc (SMD code ending at 3q)

It looks like they use a 4 digit code: https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/216239/RICOH/R1210N231A.html

But there are so many datasheets that don't even mention a package marking at all. Or custom code for automotive, who knows.

They did not say it could be identified, just "figured it out" with Daves help, so presumably what replacement part could be installed.
