Hi Dave,

I'm the one who donated the PDAs.
The iPAQ battery had started to bulge and would no longer fit in the battery compartment so I recycled it...

I love the Psion.

I chose to program one of them as part of the thesis project for my surveying degree way back when.

It was a fantastic bit of kit and was a real shame to have to hand it back to the Uni when I was done.

ah.. the white breadboard problem. there's at least 4 different pin pitches out there for the power rail connections...

an a true Psion... hilarious.. spreadsheet on a 2x16 char alpha lcd.... that has to be maximum usability.

Thanks for the great videos. Regarding the package with the stamps, I think they may be a rendering of a butterfly wing.

What are the other packages? Why didn't you open them? Not enough time?

Should be a bunch of step down converters in the mail, I just want to see what the ripple is like on them at Max rated current.

Intel sold the Xscale division to Marvell. They did that because they came up with their own design that gives superior performance and competitive efficiency. Not surprisingly, the Atom's internal design is similar to that of ARM's.

Correct, the video was already going to be long enough. 4 packages would have been too many.

so that's how the FPU performance on ARM is similar to a PIII!
*Mind you, the original Atom is based on the PIII
