Obama will likely win, so far 70% chance on Intrade prediction market:
http://www.intrade.com/v4/misc/scoreboard/

Though it has been bobbing a couple percent around 70% it seems to be fairly stable now.

I personally root for Obama, because I don't think he's doing too bad of a job, especially given the circumstances. However, the US is pretty much screwed whatever president they elect. It's turning into an idiocracy.

Obama is doing a horrible job.  However I don't think anybody that gets into the office will be able to save the US from freefall.  Pretty much our choice is between a socialist and a fascist.  Either way we're up a creek.  and if the US ever gets de-leveraged or whatever the term is, as the official petro-dollar we're going to see a whole new level of hurting, and we're gong to drag the euro right down with us.  It's a global mess they politicians have created, and nobody's hands are clean in that respect.

-End rant

I voted yesterday via absentee voting. My guy won.

I voted for Obama back in 2008, thinking he would be a bright, competent, centrist and pragmatic leader, in other words,  the very antithesis of his predecessor.

And that is pretty much exactly what I got, so, yeah, I voted for him again.

I know that the hard-core lefties that were all excited and lathered up over him in 2008 were less than thrilled with his first term. I think they are a bunch of whiny babies.

Well call me a whiny baby, because I was incredibly frustrated by his first two years. He had the senate, the house and the white house and squandered it in the name of "fairness" which he never got anyway. Let's hope he doesn't squander the next two years the same way.

Well, a lot of the Democratic majority Congress was built on an influx of rather conservative Dems from the western states that came from majority-Republican districts. They only got the job on the basis of temporary disgust with the Republicans, so if they actually had a wish to keep their jobs more than two years, there was no way they were going to be anywhere near as lefty as their more northerly and eastern counterparts. So, that, combined with the narrow majorities they had, really put some serious restrictions on what Obama could manage.

So, I will take saving the economy from utter collapse and Obamacare, and call it a win.

Same talking head, same back room deals, same back room rules.

Not much to choose from in the 2, both are perfect politicians, able to lie with a straight face and perfectly willing to work for the highest bidder.
