I've turned on e-mail notifications for EEVBlog, but not altzone, so when it was gone I assumed you had forgotten to cover someone's address and had to edit the video.

Those stickers are there to aid the postal routing. Look at the otherUS cards at  6:46 at 8:33, which have the same kind of code, but printed on the card and in black.

Here are the comments I left, to clear up some questions.

Yes, it’s a QSL Card.  No, It wasn’t me putting the tape on the card. I assume the post office put it there as an auto routing / sorting assist?  The town is pronounced  ALL-TON.  No worries.  Its Mile Davis’ home town.  Yes, he spent most of his young life in East St. Louis, downstream from us,  but he was born here.  Sorry about the (MM/DD/YYYY) format, it’s a Yank thing.  ; -)  Also, home of the World’s Tallest Man who ever lived (Robert Wadlow), and supposed to be the most haunted town in America?

I really like the new postcards segment. That keeps the usual mailbag segment clean from reading letters and postcards - maybe.
In the usual mailbag videos i've seen a huge stack of packages to unpack and during the video there was too much time "wasted" for reading postcards and letters. I always wanted to know what was in the remaining boxes on the stack.
Shame on me, that i did not know the english name for the "Michel" in Hamburg. I live near Hamburg and i work in Hamburg, but the nickname "Michel" for the "St. Michaelis Kirche" is more common to me than the official name.

There is another possibility to get to Helgoland: By ship from different coast stations. The only disatvantage of Helgoland is, that riding a bicycle or driving with cars, motorbikes is forbidden for citizen and visitors.

I think that was the case, but YouTube do now allow you to drill way down to all countries. 

YouTube > Analytics > Overview > Top geographies & click

Countries are listed in descending order of viewers, from 1 to 158, 25 countries per page.  Croatia was on my second page - 0.3%.   None in China - is YouTube banned?

Another thing it's got is average duration of view by country.  For my audience, poms, yanks and aussies are over 2 min.  Though not many kiwis or South Africans watch, they sure pay attention - watching over 3 min.  Many other countries are only around 1.5 min - maybe they struggle with our accent or language?

It's the only numeric format that's unambiguous. Is 3/10/2012 in spring or in autumn? They could have picked either M/D/Y or D/M/Y, but you'll always end up with a mix of both formats if you're dealing with an international crowd, since some people will just ignore the standard and keep using the old formats. Since nobody formats dates as YYYY-D-M, YYYY-M-D is unambiguous.

I am surprised to see France so far down the list. I would have thought it would be a lot closer to Germany. 

I get the impression that the French are less interested in electronics than the Germans.   That's also noticeable in radio - there's a lot more British and German amateurs than French. 

On the other hand if it was the N(uclear) Engineering Video Blog then maybe there'd be more French?

Also, this is just a hunch, but I'm guessing that there is stronger teaching of English language in northern Europe and Scandinavia than France.

I suppose there is a language barrier but where is China and Japan. Why is India so far down the list?  That also surprised me.

India.  How cheap is data relative to income - maybe many people need to think twice before watching stuff?  South Korea is another I'd have expected more from.

My (much lower) numbers are below.   

To summarise:  Top 6 countries are the same as EEVBlog.  The Netherlands punches above its weight.  France and Italy much lower.   One weird thing is how low NZ ranks even allowing for their population - maybe they've got rotten broadband?   But Japan is much higher on my list. 

Would be interesting to weight numbers in each country by number of people who know English in them.

yes, when  I was there this past Christmas, it just showed up as a bad link. you can get around it if you have a VPN, but that is only for foreign nationals.

Tough call on the Wiha vs Swisstool. The Wiha has a narrower shaft so it will fit in smaller recessed holes, and it has a polygonal handle so it's easier to grip and won't roll off your bench. However, the Swisstool has a longer shaft.

You can buy the Whia with longer shaft lengths.
