do we know what the difference is between .02 and .04 ? my guess is that it just blocks the hack in which case why bother ?

Who knows. But, if it the installation is innocuous, why bother? It may improve something.

Waifian:
If it isn't broke don't fix it. Until you know what it does I don't think it to be a good thing to do as newer is not alway better.  :)

I must say I'm not that impressed with Rigol not publishing the firmware and explaining the differences
