My Rigol is travelling right now from Germany to my house in Spain, so can anyone email me the good 02.04 firmware?

do we know what the difference is between .02 and .04 ? my guess is that it just blocks the hack in which case why bother ?

Who knows. But, if it the installation is innocuous, why bother? It may improve something.

If it isn't broke don't fix it. Until you know what it does I don't think it to be a good thing to do as newer is not alway better.  :)

Yep. There are always two aproximations to the firmware upgrade: the conservative and the "last firm" one. Both of them are valid so... ;)
