Hey Dave, another great video, keep em coming.  Just a note on the PCBite mirrored base, you commented on it.   What you may not have seen from your angle is whether it was intentional or accidental, the mirror actually comes I quite handy to see the underside of the board while you are working on the top.  Could be handy while soldering or unsoldering.

Also interesting was the 'tactical' torch.  I've wondered how well these would work - and how well the knock-offs wouldn't.

8-bit Keys is the guy he should have sent the PSR part to. Maybe not to fix it, but that channel is into the PSR units and would likely give the person the best advice.

AFAIK the tubes Dave displayed aren’t used in ‘hi-end’ tube HIFI, not much value to them.

Anyone know where to get flip dots? I've only ever seen a few random on ebay. The chinese dont seem to make them, and the real companies appear to be niche, larger projects.

How much do they cost?

There's no prices anywhere on the site, I'm guessing if I have to ask then they're expensive.

I think the Flip Dots I sent in are also made by the polish company, but I am not 100% sure.

I ask them for a price for small quantities a few years back and it was around 4.5 € + VAT for a 1x7 module.

From memory 450mm 7seg types were ~€160. We used them for clocks etc.
Note that was several years ago, I think LEDs work out cheaper for a lot of things now.

About the PCBite:

Dave mentioned he found the mirror finish of the metal baseplate somewhat disturbing. But I think it's quite handy to view the other side of a board without having to crouch down or take it from the clamps.

The USB board for the front of a power supply looks great and would save me a lot of time with bench testing gear, however I am not very clued up on how to use the files on the github to actually order PCB's. If they were available to buy as just the PCB's, or PCB's with parts I would buy a few for sure.
