Electric cars? Thing of the past. Electric aircraft!

Realistically, you need better cell technology to make electric aircraft viable in a general sense, in limited situations, like training where you need to have the aircraft flying for about an hour or so, it can work, but not in general usage IMHO.

For example, The Pipistral offering in this market, look at the stacks of cells, for somewhere in the region of 1 hour flight time....

Re: "Geostar" fail????
Note that there are quite inexpensive devices available today that can track your location anywhere on the planet and report back via satellite. It can also be used to send short text messages and summon emergency help and/or rescue. So Dave's verdict of "FAIL" seems incorrect.

Remember the people behind these books? Beyond 2000 has its own YouTube channel complete with Season 1 content!

I loved watching this on the American cable network TLC after school in the 90's. Now we can get closer to creating our own DaveJonesYoungerYearsSimulator.

Be mindful that they seem to be putting out modern content as well, so be sure to look at all of the channel content or perhaps check out one of the more popular episodes.

I'm watching the episode on Colonising Space at the moment. Awesome. Too bad there's no "Dave skepticism commentary soundtrack" to these oldies for extra entertainment.
