EEVBLOG communication issues.
« on: April 02, 2022, 05:42:57 am »
Been trying to make contact with EEVBLOG regarding purchase / availability for Multimeter cases.
Emailed   eevblog.official@gmail.com   on 2nd Feb and 10th Feb
Emailed  dave@eevblog.com on 2nd March
No replies from any.
If Dave is able to check-up on this, from domain contained 'lol.com' + the above dates should narrow it down.

Mr. EEVblog gets hundreds E-Mails a day and he is a one man show.
I think it isn't a good idea to try to order per E-Mail because at this mass of mails, your order gets easy overlooked.

I suggest to use the shops to other the EEVblog DMMs ( Amazon / EEVblog web shop)

Due to global shortages in electronic components, plastic pellets, .... and a little bit of pandemic its not easy to get parts.
For example, we have two halls and the whole back yard (with tents) full of halve finished products because we can not get all parts to finish our products.

I think you should check from time to time if one of the two shops have stock and order the DMMs there.
No one knows the date, stock will be available but it will be available some day.
Only patience helps in this situation.

I kinda find it a little strange that anyone thinks it unreasonable, nonsensical or impractical to email a store with a product enquiry.

Especially so when the store has an email address dedicated to that purpose (separate to Dave's email address) .

More so again when I have history of getting a reply within 24hrs in the past.

Covid has caused some issues, sure, but it will get here... maybe... just be patient is not an answer that holds water 2-3 years into the pandemic.

Do we even know if stock has been ordered?

Nothing against Dave or the store, but I'm a little twisted at the replies here that are making baseless excuses that don't need to be made.

Dave has people looking after this email address.
I'm sure if email is functioning correctly that they can simply reply... 'Yes, we have some on order, expected 1-3 months' or 'No, demand was poor, we're not going to stock it again for a while'.

It's email... not rocket science.
After a couple of months I'm thinking there could be a blockage in communication and am here to query it, not be lectured by the community on what I should do.
