EEVblog2 - Pool Heat Pumps Explained
« on: December 08, 2023, 11:47:23 am »
Hi Dave,
I am following your topics for a while, I find them really enlightning.
However, I am unsure about your findings regarding Delta_T for Warmwater heatpumps.

To my understanding is the efficiency getting better with smaller Delta-T . I have only a German language link for you - but I know you can read that ! https://www.udo-leuschner.de/basiswissen/SB127-05.htm

The other thing to mention is that 3-way valves are not a good thing for splitting flows. Ever thought about a Chinese Frequency inverter - I have one of this in use for my pool's waterpump, as I want to have less power consumption. Be aware cheap ones need ferrite - due to RFI they generate.

best regards,

Jürgen from Germany - no season for swimming in outdoor pools today !!
