Title: EEVBlogAcademy
Post by: Pete F on August 14, 2018, 08:58:00 am
I’m interested in learning/refreshing a bit more of the theory + practice and was following through the EEVBlogAcademy videos. However it seems there was only 8 produced, is that correct? I must admit I didn’t really follow the flow of those videos, and the topics seemed to jump around a bit, but I thought the concept was excellent. I also didn’t understand who the presenter was, another David? Does he have his own channel?

I like the way Dave covers his theory, a lot of this is just refreshing what I’d formally learnt decades ago, but that was a heck of a long time ago and a lot of it is new to me too. I remember absolutely hating digital theory for example but Dave/David at least makes it bearable.

Is there some form of playlist anyone has created that organises all these tutorial style videos into some form of logical sequence, errr, pardon the pun?

In the meantime, you can try these videos, too: ( especially the ones named "Back to Basics".

Thanks very much, I’ve seen a few of his videos and he does a good job. It’s probably a bit more basic than I was looking for though.

My background was in various areas of electronics at a trade/post-trade level, which is somewhat similar to these Blog Academy videos. Obviously we would go to much greater detail and somebody doesn’t watch a 10 minute video and expect to come out with the same knowledge as something that may have taken us a semester, but the point is both are relatively practical in their approach. I’d like to go back over a lot of that material, refresh and update my knowledge, plus drill down to greater detail if possible without losing the practical perspective.
