Error in latest blog

Hey dave! I noticed an error in your latest blog about the smps regulator, its not a gated oscillator that is turned on/off to regulate. It's pulse width modulated.

Just thought i'd mention it.

There is no error.
As explained in another thread, there are many different types of SMPS control. The gated latch oscillator as shown is one of them, fixed frequency PWM another, along with others. Some chips even combine various techniques depending upon the load.

I dident know that as i´ve only seen the pwm type. But i only work with transformer smps, not buck.

Anyways it just bugged me because i dident know other modes than pwm even existed.
