Extech meter recall - EX612, EX613, EX622, EX623, EX540, EX542, and EX570

(1/1)

No, they don't recall Dave's killer meter. They recall some serial number series of the EX612, EX613, EX622, EX623, EX540, EX542, and EX570. Yep, seven meters, but not the killer meter

From the site, "After extensive quality testing, Extech found that... ". This is good to hear that it wasn't the result of someone getting injure that they found this out. I think this is way more dangerous (display low or zero reading on low battery reading) than Dave's killer meter.

Well, we don't know what triggered their investigation. These days even recall notices are run through the PR department (and of course the legal department). I don't think the recall notice necessarily contains the full truth.

Interesting.
Yes, I am totally surprised they did not recall the killer meter. They did redesign it though but I don't know if it available yet.
To bad for those who already own it...

Dave.

Also interesting, I didn't see a link to the recall from their front page. One has to be told about it to see it.
