Title: Forced Taptalk on windows phone
Post by: 1design on August 30, 2016, 01:42:54 pm
I am having some trouble accessing the eevblog forum from my phone. It prompts me to use tap talk and refuses to load without it. Since I use a windows phone, Taptalk is not available. Nevertheless the forum keeps recognizing the device as Android. This started a few days ago and never happened before. Any idea on what to do?

I have similar problems elsewhere sometimes where it thinks I'm on an Android too - have no idea how to resolve it.

However, just wanted to let you know that Tapatalk IS available for windows phone, I have it installed. Not sure if you want to install it or not, but it is available.

I get the tapatalk prompt too, but when I press cancel it loads the forum in the browser.

I run Windows 10, no matter what I do the page doesn't want to load, either OK or Cancel, neither do the trick. It seems I will have to give up on the forum from the mobile platform as Tap Talk is not something I wish to use.

I have Android and it just work all fine. Running it from a Huawei P8, upgraded to marshmallow.
