How to post tables into postings?

Can anybody explain how I easily can post talbles like the following into my posts?

Step Rate | Sinking Current |    R to -12V   | max. displayed steps no. | Y-stretching-factor
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
normal    | min. -2.6 uA    | 4,5  Megaohm   |   9 + zero line          | 1.06
normal    | max. -4.7 uA    | 2,5  Megaohm   |   9 + zero line          | 1.15
slow      | min. -1.0 uA    |  11  Megaohm   |   9 + zero line          | 1.05
slow      | max. -1.45 uA   |   8  Megaohm   |  10 + zero line          | 1.075


The "insert table" button does not really help me (for my understanding):

I don't see much difference between the two tables (first one is just using non-proportional "teletype" font, second one is using "insert table" and non-proportional "teletype" font).


Problem:

The spacing between words in a line isn't displayed correctly when I type it in the forum editor, as it appears later in the post (no WYSIWYG view for non-proportional "teletype" font).

This is what it looks like when I enter the text:

How can I easily format tables in my posts without having to make countless corrections because of the spacing?

Not exactly easily - but it goes like this:  (I've thrown in some font variations to show how it's handled)  Just use the quote function to see.

Step Rate | Sinking Current | R to -12V | max. displayed steps no. | Y-stretching-factor

normal | max. -4.7 uA | 2,5  Megaohm | 9 + zero line | 1.15

Thank you, I got it finally.
The second example was more structured.

Test:
1. column | 2. column | 3. column | 4. column | 5. column
this | is | the | second | line
line tree: | extraveryultralongword | bli | bla | blub
0 |  1 |  2 |  3 |  4
5 |  6 |  7 |  8 |  9
10 |  11 |  12 |  13 |  14

OK, it works.
table /table, td /td or tr /tr seem to come from HTML (I'm not the coding guy...)?

But it is also not what I would call easy or "WYSIWYG".
I think if the table is not too big I stay with my "teletype font and including the spaces later" procedure or post a screenshot of my desktop spreadsheet program (Excel, LibreOffice...).
