Those are some sharp photos, as screen shots go.  I never seemed to have ambient lighting low enough, and camera exposure right, to get things to come out nice...

maybe just better contrast / thresholding, can still see a bit of shadow in the background.

A touch of spherical "warp" correction seems to help; YMMV what filter/transform this is available as.  (I use an old copy of PSP7 that, is rather limited on transforms, but it helps, at least.  Enough to correct for lens aberration, though not the curved CRT face.)

I've got a GPIB setup now though, so it's not such a big deal getting perfect screenshots off the scope/spec.  Well, the spec (8590A) is annoying because it resets config when addressed, and complains loudly on malformed commands... but in principle at least.
