Could someone please post a screen shot of it? I'm still looking for a reason to upgrade my 2000x to the 2.0 FW, and this might be it! :D

It's a bit quirky!  Unlike a real etch-a-sketch, you can't turn both knobs simultaneously.  There is a way to delete a mistake but you have to press the color button several times for black.  After downloading 2.0 I found it by accident!  I was checking the developers list Easter egg and pressed the wrong button

Dont forget the trials will not work anymore if you use them. Upgrading only for this easter egg is silly  :)

Yes, I would not upgrade if I had trails. I have already bought all options I want. Only mask and education package left, and I'm not interested in those. :)

be cool if you could set your etch-a-sketch drawing as the new startup image :P

That'd be interesting. You could have something like "Stolen from etc. etc. "
After the update mine doesn't shoe the splash screen anymore (the mountains photo etc).

Mine too and i liked it much more than this easter egg. Altrough it could be hacked but it would be great if you could upload your boot image (since i was looking that image more that the actual work screen haha  :D )

The splash screen isn't shown while a USB stick is inserted. No idea why.

It would be cool if you could have your own splash screen!
Like just being able to copy a JPG file from the USB stick to the internal drive somewhere.
What do you say Agilent? next update please!
But if anyone knows an easy hack, that would be neat.

Dave.

Maybe it's looking for an alternative screen on the drive?

It does on my 3024.

It seems to depend on the stick. I have a very old 1G USB stick and an old USB SD card adapter which show the splash screen. All the others I have tried including a mico SD adapter don't. Maybe it depends on how long the stick takes to initialise.
