quick question

does dave only teardowns down old stuff or does he assemble it back together to?or after teardown he just throws it away??

That depends on the thing. Did it work before? Is it useful? Does Dave want it?

Some things need to cut wires to get them apart. I'm guessing Dave doesn't fix those.

Depends on the part.

If its worth to repair, he adds a drop of solder & shrink tube.

If it's just a pile of junk, he takes useful parts and put the rest in the bin.
