Hello everyone
I am new to the site and I just wanted to mention that I recieved my Rigol DS1052E today bought on Ebay  from smtzone for $390.00 US dollars with free shipping  DHL WorldWide Express and no  Canadian sales taxes paid !. $390.00 that's all ! On their own decision they put "sample" on the outside of the box and "gift" on the inside. ! Took 8 days to arrive and I couldn't be happier with my first impressions of the scope. I just hope that eventually I am able to do the mod to 100 mhtz.

Congratulations on your new purchase! Welcome to the big wide world of Rigol1052E users thanks to Dave's excellent review of it way back in the early days of his video blog.
The mod to 100mhz is really simple so you might as well go ahead and do it. I'm not sure if you have seen it or not but Dave did a whole step by step video of the process on his blog. The video is still there if you haven't seen it.

Also, don't forget Dave's famous saying,"don't turn it on, take it apart!" Go ahead, don't be scared, void that warranty and enjoy looking over the guts of your new piece of test equipment.

I am not sure I understand quite yet the exact procedure and I want to enjoy it a bit before I do anything that may make it unserviceble
