If nothing else the Ancient Mystical Order of the Rosa Crucius has a super-fast postal system (or their telepathy works) since they were only informed about Dave's interest a couple of days ago.

One good they can claim to have done is to keep the likes of Neville Williams and Jim Rowe in work since they were frequent advertisers in Electronics Australia in the late 1960s/early 1970s (ads attached).

They started off in NZ but then they moved to Melbourne.

They were easy to miss. 

Always a few pages from the back. 

Where the magazine seemed to die, ie past the pages of 'WNW' review of devotional recordings - beyond which you would not venture unless you wanted the ham column, the end of an article that did not fit or wanted to know if your posted Q&A was answered!

Ads always intrigued me as a kid (who remains appreciative of the mystery donor who left a stack of old EAs in the garage one day).

I also recall some Scientology type adverts - all that Dianetics BS. I can't recall what magazine, it was in the 70‘s.

The Rosicrucians advertised in all kinds of magazines back in the day. Years ago I was collecting Man's Life and other pulp mags (don't judge me, the covers are hilarious!) and can confirm they were in a good many of those. Hadn't realised they were still a thing

This Museum contains one of the best collections of Egyptian artifacts in the U.S. and i have been there a couple of times. Very well presented and recommended as a good educational stop. Nowhere near as good as the British National Museum, but pretty darn good none the less.

Apart from that they sound crazy as all be.

There is no such beast, I think you mean the British Museum http://www.britishmuseum.org/. If you're in London and want to feast on Egyptology the BM is a must, but there's also the Petrie Museum https://www.ucl.ac.uk/museums/petrie (a 10 minute walk from the BM) which has less initially impressive artifacts but makes up for it by depth, quantity and quality of available materials.

There is an Egyptian museum in my city too that has "Rosicrucian" in the name too. But I'm not 100% if it's the same thing, it bears the name from something called "Universidade Rosi-Croix". Did not care to find out either  )
