Hi I just bought a mtp2850 http://www.mtpinc.com/Products.htm?CD=2&ID=343 can you review this model.

You have this meter, and Dave does not.  It would seem to me that it would be more appropriate that you should do the review and let us know what you find out about it, rather than ask Dave, or anyone else, for that matter,  to obtain such a meter and do the work for you.

Ok ohm auto ranging slow, should have hrc fuses but doesn't. Back light is good but doesn't auto turn off, temp works great, voltage works great, cap works great, continuity meter works but is a little slow. feels solid as a rock, stand could be better but it still works well. I will come back with more.

For a $100 meter shouldn't it have hrc fuses.

DO NOT BUY THIS METER IT IS CRAP. after 2 days the temp function stopped working. I am going to return it and get the B&K 2709B .

Open it up and take some  pictures of the inner parts before you return it ..

I took it apart and got mooned, I tried to take out the board but couldn't. However i could see the lack of input protection. I didn't think to take pics and Ive already returned it sorry.
