Whatever happened to Dave II? We've seen a few brief mentions of the guy but the last time he was featured was the 3D Printer. I understood that Dave II was recruited so that there would be more EEVBlog projects but so far all we have seen is the multimeter.
-
I've said this countless times now, David2 works from home now, and is very busy with uni and other projects. He still works on stuff when he has the time.
I will probably ultimate need to hire another lab rat, with David2 continuing to work on projects remotely.

OK, thanks.

Maybe you should make this (or a simmilar post) a sticky so that everyone can see it more easily? Could help reducing the amount of questions asked.

Lucky I came across this post, I was about to ask the same thing. So he is still at Uni then?

Oh no, I hope not "UNI"... anything BUT UNI-T :palm: ... unless it is "University", then it is different ;)
I wish him well. Would be nice to do a feature episode of him though, and then a guest one :P maybe from the "Altium" building too :-DD

Rules of David2 fan club.
1st rule, you do not talk about David2 fan club.
-
Fan Club? No, not really, but I was hoping to see additional construction projects coming from EEVBlog Towers and more use made of that lab full of equipment. If I had access to facilities like that I would be building ham radio gear to die for.
-
I heard Dave sent him home to grow a moustache...

I am not sure about in Australia, but here in the UK, University is often shortened to Uni.
-
Uni is definitely something we in the UK picked up from the Aussies. I remember watching Neighbours when I was at university and some of the characters were off to uni. It sounded odd then but doesn't now.

I used to watch Neighbours when I was at uni. That is when Jason and Kylie and it in.

My university days pre-dated "Neighbours" by 4 years but it was definitely "off to uni".
-
It defo wasn't Uni when I went in the early 80s, but then defo wasn't a word then either.
-
My theorie is that Dave1 did a droptest with Dave2 and Dave2 didnt pass it. :-DD

Yes, it's "Uni" here. Never "college" like the Yanks call it.
-
Its called Uni in Germany and Austria too.
-
Here it is called #FeesMustFall or some other things non mentionable on this forum.
-
Was hoping to hear more about his 3D printer besides just what was said in the video.
Still if he's busy, then it's going to be a while before much happens with it.

It was around long before neighbours, trust me....
