Don't go looking in South Australia, because there isn't any, and I just finished my new workbench  :(

I have called several stores around the Sydney area, as well as the customer support line ... and the stores they suggested I call - and it seems I am out of luck.

I then thought - what if someone else carries them?  So I invoked some Google Fu and have come up with only one other source: Officeworks.

From their advertising photos and dimensions given, they seem to be exactly the same, but their price is $59 - even in their current catalogue.  This isn't far off what I paid for the other five, but then they are still a current line.  But, for that price, I do have a choice from 10 different colours. Fortunately white is one of them.

So now I have a means to fill the gap - but at a price I would not have entertained for the total setup.  My options are - look for alternatives, keep hunting or just bite the bullet.  It's going to cost me one way or the other and we all know which would be the safest.

I should have thought this through before jumping in.  A bit late now.

While I haven't called every store in the area, I've hit the phone pretty hard on this.  I tried a couple more today.

The last piece of advice I was given relates to Target currently doing a stocktake (Australia wide) which is due to finish this Thursday.  They said I should give it a couple of days after that for them to get their act together and then call the central customer service line - maybe next Monday.

I might try that.  Will see what happens.
