or collecting -ve feedback strikes from people, like you just did? i thought we will not be able to give feedback once the deal is cancelled, and i didnt know about the paypal non-refundable fee. but since i played straight i didnt have to involve myself with such a mess. he can hold the deal forever you know, so is your credit, until you raise to a dispute (14 days expiry) of non-received item and another days for raise to a claim, or until the protection is expired (if you forget to raise dispute) and your credit/money belong to him to withdraw freely.

i experienced this before (claim process) and its unfortunate that i currently have 3 open cases in paypal for non received items, one from germany, 2 from china, + another one from our local shop, due to not as described item, i have to repack it (after few days of waiting for seller's reply acceptance of return), consumed some of my resources (tapes) and wasted time and got it returned at my own cost at the nearest courier office just today. which on each case of non received item can take more than a month cycle from payment to credit refunded to my card, before i can reuse it for another purchase, if i hit my credit limit, i have to wait until the process completed or top it up at nearest ATM if i have to make it quick. a time wasting process, i'd rather leave the scammer alone or if i care about others, i'll simply report him to ebay.

That is nonsense. I never sell probes with a scope because probes are a consumable like underwear. I don't want anyone else's probes just like I don't want anyone else's underwear.

If it pops up again I will change my eBay address to be close to him and ask if pick up and money on pick up is OK, since he wants the money fast no reason to say no.

thats the spirit, he will see your address only when you paid just do reverse social engineering on him, just say you are on the same neighboorhood visiting G-ma in law of the in law 5 level downer the line, and ask where he is now and you will pick the thing up yourself, money is on the spot.

I did yesterday and the images don't give other search results other than the one on eBay. But that doesn't mean if its not a duplicate from other very old listings, since the search results only register the current listing, and for what it looks like the original listing was deleted and uploaded again lots of times already. So instead of giving a search result of 3 or more listings (from the links I count on this topic alone), it only registers the current active one.

The photos show the scope displaying a current timestamp anyway, so if they are copies they are copies of two-day-old originals

What is weird about not wanting other people's junk?  Probes are subject to wear (bad contact, broken wires, etc).
