A 2600 Farad Cap!!!!

That's their wimpy little capacitor :-)

Maybe I'm not familiar with the ultra large capacitors, but I'm not used
to seeing a wearout rating like this.  I wonder if this is an aerogel?

That rating is meaningless without specifying the load and voltage.

I imagine that charging/discharging quickly will cause more wear and tear than slow charge/discharge.

How would you verify that it really is a 2600 or 3000 F cap? Specialised meter or time constant and stopwatch?

I'd build an RC oscillator and use a timer.

Ahem, Shafri the post above was for a 2600 Farad (!) cap... not one of those boringly small car hifi caps.

That's true, I've build charging circuit which charges 1Farad capacitor in car through lighbulb when turn on my radio. Even capacitor this small discharged car battery in 2-3 weeks.

If anybody would be interested I can post circuit.
