Great. Another steal deal from Grainger! Thanks for the heads up. I've been watching their Agilent old stock for over a month and this item has suddenly dropped another 50% to ~ $100 in the past few days.

sweet! I think I am going to swing by today...

Looks like they finally dropped the price. Been on "clearance" for $300 for a while :)
Let's see if the order goes through..

I jumped on that 5 minutes after Dave tweeted it! I wish the $350 MSRP version (1732B) had a bit better of a sale (it's down to $275, 20% off list). It has some nice extras, like measuring phase angle for caps. But considering the U1253B I got last time one of these deals came around has a better resistance range and a comprable cap range, I'll basically only use this for measuring D, Q and inductors (mostly inductors). It's kind of a bummer that the new version adds ESR, Z and phase, but for $95 vs $295, I'm hardly about to complain. I'm happy to now have an LCR meter!

What is the limitation of not having 10khz?

Ordered within an hour from Dave's tweet, got order confirmation and then nothing for a week. Checked today and was told they ran out of them even though I had confirmed order. Crazy :(
-
When you order, sometimes the website doesn't register the order, even with confirmation. Its happened to me 3x. If you don't see it in a few hours in your account, call the rep. In all the cases I've seen good prices, the item were sold out within days, sometimes 1 day, after the announcement of the sale.
In the end, calling the rep is the best way, its a toll free call, but first making a web order will save you the trouble of having to talk to them for long, getting sales info. On the phone, all they need is your order or account number and the rest is fast.

That sucks >:(
You'd think companies like this would get a basic thing like inventory right?
Dave.
-
Or at least let me know that order was cancelled. Oh well, there is always next time. Maybe the'll have the ones that measure ESR as well ;)
-
With me they made me go all through the process of registration, entering delivery information, entering payment details, and then on the final order confirmation screen they said they said they had insufficient stock to fulfil the order. :(
-
True, but its worth the heavy discount, once you register you needn't do it again, including payment options. There is still one more Agilent model they stock, I'd keep an eye on it as they typically drop it another 50% just before it delists, and if you are quick another deal can be yours.

Screwing your userbase for publicity since 1903. Very classy.
