Selling my DS1102E in anticipation of getting a 2072A or 1074Z. I'm finding that the lack of a protocol decoder or protocol triggers is too much of a limitation (especially in a recent project...), and I'm in the market for an upgrade due to an unexpected pay bonus.
Note, this is an original DS1102E, not a hacked DS1052E.
I replaced the keypad assembly on this after it was damaged. I replaced it with an original Rigol part. Aside from this problem, it has been a reliable instrument for nearly 2 years now. The reason for the repair was a broken trigger knob (see my previous posts on this.) The trigger knob had always been a bit stiff/sticky/loose (hard to describe; never seemed to grip right, always had to press in slightly for it to work), and eventually cracked in half. Rigol would not cover this under warranty, "wear and tear" apparently. The new keypad uses all metal encoders, an improvement over the original plastic types...
(The warranty sticker was not voided in this process although I'm not sure if Rigol would honour a warranty on this any more - it has about a year left of warranty, originally 3 years long.)
I'm looking for £200, which seems to be the going rate on eBay for a used one (
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=ds1102e&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc). For that price, I'll include insured 48 hour delivery to anywhere in the mainland of the UK, and the original box and foam padding for safe shipping.
I don't want to ship to Europe due to issues with customs and international shipping -- UK sales only.
Scope and power cord included. I will need the probes for my new scope (1074Z only comes with two probes even though it's a 4ch scope...) so I will not be able to include them.
Collection is welcome from my Leeds address too for which I'll knock off some £ for collecting in person. For collection in person I'll require cash on collection, for everything else PayPal. Inspection is welcome on collection.
This was previously listed then removed later due to the damage to the trigger knob which occurred shortly after listing it, hence the re-listing.
PM preferred.
