Ok I've had a few requests asking how much to collect items.

Well it's a 120 mile round trip so that's £50 in mileage. Add another £50 to make it worth my while. Packaging items safely costs money, expect me to add £10 per item or more if it's a bastard of a thing. Then you pay actual UPS shipping cost.

The £100 mileage and incentive will be split between the people who want items collected - 4 people then £25 each.

Hi Ian,

can I take you up on the offer as well? :) I got a few items and will be happy to help finance a trip and pay you for the effort!

Of course you can, you're the 4th now.

Just email me your collection notice and send an email to them authorising me to collect on your behalf.

that saves my day :) as I accidentally extended my vacation to the 14th... :)

Then just need to figure out how to get me GBP 22 fluke charger from the other site...

If anyone is going to the other site - please let me know - I'm stuck Spain :) - the only thing there is a 1kg? fluke charger and I'll happily send some Paypal funds to have it shipped to me in London. (Or bank transfer)

Hello,
Sovietsky Sberbank confirmed that they already got me green. But no confirmation from them so far...

Hello,
with me it still says N. But I called them today and they say that they got their green!

Also, if you guys did not pay VAT, they always need an export declaration. Even if inside the EU...

They can fck right off with that. Export declarations are only required when exporting goods outside the EU.

VAT Notice 703 section 1.1
"Goods delivered from the UK to a destination elsewhere in the EC are not exports for VAT purposes. Such transactions are called removals."

Top, from a legal point of view, I know.

I called them from the Gym, and even told them that Slovakia is no longer member of the Soviet Union (my trainer and the owner of the gym, both girly,  :-DD |O  about it).

But they still want the form. Given that I don't want you to travel twice: simply give them the VAT in cash and bill me if they demand it.

P.S. Edit to add: they actually are really friendly and nice and I enjoy talking with them on the phone (/me normally doesnt). So I don't think they are doing it to *puber!* in our faces, but rather due to misinformation or paranoia.

Hello kaz,
afaik, the Peaker Pattison are willing to transport small goods for you between the two lots - maybe give them a call.

I'll be collecting all this crap on Thursday 11 August this week, calling them on Wednesday 10 August to arrange it with them.

If you've asked me to collect anything you need to make sure:

1) I have a copy of your collection note
2) You've paid for your crap
3) You've sent them an email authorising me to collect

Name em shame em list so far:

eliocor (Very well behaved, no problems)
MasterTech (Very well behaved, no problems)
kaz911 (seems to have things vaguely under control, I'm not sure his stray item will turn up)
Tamhan (seems to live a car crash of a life, I won't be leaving him in control again!)

Hello Top,
assuming this is UK humor (I never sense that one, led to a funny scene in a live interview some years ago as I started biting the interviewer a second one): I fully agree. Live Fast, die young.

Sadly, the fucken walls, trees and other objects all only hit me partially, which means all the pain but no ticket to the eternal vacation in Astoria. Bummer!

If not: May I ask what I have done to offend you? Please let me know if there is anything I can do to alleviate your concerns.

Tam

Yes, just UK humour. You'll know when you've offended me, I won't be subtle about it.

Some of us take the path of least resistance through life, some of us do otherwise. You're leaning towards the 2nd category I think you'll agree!

Man, to be honest. It wasnt even me. I just try to be a correct and loyal individual. And that, sadly, comes with many many consequences.

There is an odd proverb I heard from an old friend. Being a beast takes out the pain from being a man...

By the way: if they want VAT from you, please pay them by all means. Ill wire you the green ASAP!
