Batronix
« on: October 02, 2012, 07:28:12 pm »
Does anybody (especially German users) have any idea about that company?
http://www.batronix.com/shop/index.html
Their Rigol oscilloscope prices seem even lower than China prices:
http://www.batronix.com/shop/oscilloscopes/Rigol-DS2202.html
The shipping cost is also reasonable.
Is it too good to be true?

Thanks a lot.
How about warranty issues if you live abroad? I mean if you live outside Germany.

Ik bought a Rigol DG1022 function generator recently. Absolutely ultra fast shipment from Germany to Holland.
Even at the lowest price I could find on the internet! Great company, judging from my recent purchase.

Outside the EU.
Probably better than if you got it from China. But who knows?

What does the power cord matter? You can buy them in a local shop for peanuts if you don't already have one.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

They may be an official distributor, but they're certainly not the only one.

I bought my DG4062 from Telonic Instruments (http://www.rigol-uk.co.uk/) and have been very pleased with their service. Good price too.

It's about 10% more expensive and we don't know about the shipment costs...
Sorry only the 1052E is more expensive the others are about the same.

Hello,

Batronix is a very serious company. I bought, in August, my oscilloscope Rigol DS2102 from them. They fastly delivered the device to France.
Unfortunatly, there was a loose screw inside the power adapter, I think it was detached during the transport (China to Germany or Germany to France, I don't known) causing isolation error.
I returned the device to Batronix (shipping cost suppoted by Batronix).
Batronix immediatly solved the problem and fastly returned the device.

I recommand this company !  :)

Hello all,

Apologies for posting to what appears to be an ancient thread, but this is all that comes up under Batronix.

I recently purchased an o-scope from them at a great price (essentially a free upgrade from a 70 to 100 Mhz model), and even with express shipping it was a couple hundred less than anyone else in the US. However after placing the order, I found in my invoice the following text:

Quote
Please note!
For deliveries outside the European Union,
additional customs duties, taxes, and fees may incurr.

I am in the U.S., so clearly not in the EU. This was nowhere to be seen prior to placing the order. I then emailed them at service@batronix.com and have thus far not received a reply or even a shipping confirmation, despite the item being in stock and payment being made through Paypal.

Has anyone in the US had a successful transaction with Batronics? Did you have to pay any customs or duty of any kind?

Thanks much for any insight!

Well, this is normal for anything that you would order from outside the USA.

I bought a few things from this company and every single transaction was perfect.

Thanks for your reply. However which part is normal, paying duties? If so, this may very well negate any percieved savings. What sort of fees did you have to pay on delivery?

He won't have had to pay any, because he bought within the EU.

I'm guessing this is the first time you've bought anything internationally? (china doesn't count, not only do they lie, but they get a free pass on customs most of the time)

Ah sure enough, I hadn't noticed his origin. Yes, this would be the first purchase from the EU, and yes, I have purchased from China several times without issue. That is primarily why I was hoping somebody in the US had experience buying from Batronix (Germany), and if it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll end up paying import fees, or whether it's a hit or miss affair.

Basically sounds like I just need to pass and cancel the order:(

Do what you should have done in the first place: check what the import duties will cost you. AFAIK the 'value' you can import into the US without import duties/taxes is quite high.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.
