Title: Ebay: Large lot 75-100 units, no reserve
Post by: azer on September 05, 2018, 05:51:53 pm
Showed up in my searches, might be interesting for someone living close to California that can pick it up.

Too bad there are only one pic but the units shown should be worth a few hundred if working.

Neat stuff if you're nearby. Looks like someone started bidding.

I guess renting Star Treks Mr. Scott to transport the stuff would be the only way for me to fulfil their conditions ...
Anyway, that's a good amount of interesting loot for someone who can do.

I thought this lot looked familiar. (You know you have TEA when...)

Yes, indeed, we talked about it (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/buysellwanted/ebay-find-giant-lot-of-surplus-test-equipment/) back in Nov. 2016. It supposedly sold for $562. I guess the deal fell through.

 Not to mention this:
 https://www.ebay.de/itm/372419237290 (https://www.ebay.de/itm/372419237290)

In DE would have now like 560EUR and 20  bids and sell for 800, in US it probably not even got a bid , why, oh why, the stuff cost so much in EU  |O

 Depressed,

It's tempting, but I don't think I can get there by November of 2016 to make the pickup.  That's kind of short notice...

 :-DD

For context:

Quote from: Spaulding Surplus (brannonsb)
the winning bidder will be responsible for picking up all the equipment from our office at the Van Nuys airport in Los Angeles, CA on or before November 14th, 2016 when our lease expires.

And they're way overdue on their lease. ;D

Possibly a DeLorean in reverse :)

Yeah, but it'd take a lot of trips back and forth to retrieve the stuff.  Not much cargo capacity in a DeLorean...

No need to transport it all. Go back, buy the lot, sell the stuff, bring back the cash. :-+

This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.

It's that intermediate step before acquiring more TEA, of course.
