I don't mind paying postage if needed, within reason.

Does that mean just the postage?

The reason I ask is because you can make your own. That would be cheaper if you're not bothered about it being pukka.

If you have or can get the TDS2CM you can turn it into a TDS2MM.

I’m waiting for one to come up so I can do this :(

Unfortunately I don't have a TDS2CM. I have read some of the posts talking about the mod, and wouldn't mind doing it. But all of the listing for the TDS2CM modules i'v found are just as, if not more expensive than the TDS2MM modules.

I purchased one from this listing.
I contacted the seller and asked for a cheaper shipping method, and he came back with a significant discount.
I paid about US$150 shipped IIRC.

It's now in my scope and works perfectly.

If you have or can get the TDS2CM

Is this not like the TDS3 hack where you just need the name of the module in the right location and everything else can be blank (that is, no code at all, just the 6-character name)?

You need the image file from the TDS2MM ROM, and you need to replace one ROM chip with a new part with more memory. Then flash the image to the ROM.
I'm not 100% on the details, but it's out there on the web.

Scopeman posted the file here:https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/need-tektronix-tds220-firmware-file/msg1437460/#msg1437460, it has some very basic instructions included.
