Fair price for DS1102E with damaged trigger knob
« on: October 26, 2013, 07:23:40 pm »
The trigger knob on my DS1102E (genuine, original 100MHz model, ~£325 GBP new) broke off during use (cracked plastic shaft, possibly previous defect from shipping)... and Rigol won't cover it in warranty. It has 2 yrs left but any repair I do myself will void warranty/calibration.

Otherwise, the scope works fine. If you are determined you can set trigger level using a screwdriver to turn the internal control. You WILL need to replace the rotary encoder inside the unit. (Not a simple matter of replacing just the knob unfortunately...) Encoder is available for less than £3 from Farnell.

Open for offers on it as I was going to upgrade anyway. Will ship for £20.00 GBP within UK by 48hr courier or collection from my Leeds address. I'm not willing to send it overseas.

I can include the two probes as accessories and the software CD.
