Up for sale is a used Fluke 8508A 8.5 Digit Reference Multimeter.  This multimeter has served me well over the last few years measuring my 10V and 10 kOhm reference standards.  It has been retrofitted with the "01" rear input option and was calibrated a little over a year ago at a friend's home lab using a characterized Fluke 5720A, Fluke 5790 AC Measurement standard, Fluke 732B 10V Reference, and an ESI SR104 10 kOhm reference.  With that said, the calibration is not *legally* traceable to the SI and a calibration certificate is not available.  Accredited calibrated instruments were used, however.  It will be one of the best calibrations for an instrument outside of paying for an accredited 17025 calibration from a national metrology lab.  Any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Currently asking for $12,500

Here's a question, how many times have you already sold the unit with serial number 46346? Something about that just seems a little unusual for a high value item.

Hmmm...

Once it was ended and relisted.  The other two times it says "Best offer accepted" - which just means the seller said "Yes".  It doesn't mean the buyer actually completed the purchase.

Not to bash,  but why this meter would be sold higher than a 3458a who can be found in the 6K $$ range, and have a pretty good shape and can / could be calibrated the same way ?

EDIT

oh  okay   found out this comparaison

A buyer accepted an offer and then after the fact he was unable to get his payment method to work.  So I relisted the item.  It has since been sold again and I had not had a chance to come back here and comment on the fact that the meter has sold.
