Free -- National GPIB-961P - GONE !!
« on: January 22, 2024, 04:15:17 pm »
Quick history.  Some years ago National Instruments offered the "GPIB-961P" interface board.  STD-bus on one side, GPIB/HPIB/IEEE488 bus on the other side.  The board also had a few other functions.  I supported several customers with equipment that used the GPIB-961P.  During that time I purchased a license from National to build a limited number of the GPIB-961P boards (10, I think).  I only built maybe 3 or 4 and sold maybe 2 or 3 of them.

I have the following for available for free:

qty. 1;  GPIB-961P;  built by National Instruments;  passed functional testing the last time I ran it (several years ago).
qty. 1;  GPIB-961P;  built by me;  passed functional testing the last time I ran it (several years ago).
qty. 1 (lot):  bare GPIB-961P boards (qty. 10);  box of parts to fully assemble at least two boards, probably more.  I'm sure I have the complete part list, just have to find and print it.  I'll include the part list and whatever documentation I can find.
Pictures available on request.  (I should be able to look up exact numbers, if you really want to know.)

Any of it is free for the asking.
Shipping might be an issue, depending on where you are.  I am in Maryland, USA.

You can respond to this posting or off-list:  MRILEY@AVT-HQ.COM.
Best regards, Mike.

Hi Mike,
I might be interested in these cards if they're still available.  Can you post some pictures of them so I can see which version they are?  When I look up that model number I see a few different varieties pop up in the images on google.

ZGoode,
I'm out of the office until about 15 Feb.
But I'll be glad to get pictures to you as soon as I can after I get back.
Sorry for the delay.  I hope you can wait.
I took a quick look at the Google images for "GPIB-961P".  Quite a range of 'stuff' shows up.
The image attached (which I got from that search) looks like the boards I have available.

Regarding the question of what the GPIB-961P boards look like.  Here is a picture of a complete board and one of an empty PC board.

Mike,
After looking at those pictures I am definitely interested in those boards and parts.  I'll shoot you an email to figure out shipping.

Hi Mike,
Sorry for the delay, I got a little distracted last week with some deadlines I had to meet.  I just shot you an email.
