Just to check, is this a working instrument? Have you tested it with a PRTof some sort, or a standard resistor?

Hello

Yes I will test it again and take pictures ....

I will connect  a simulator AOIP but not run any calibration

Hello

The pics of a quick test with a 0.1C simulator from AOIP ( as it as I am overloaded ) , simulator was connected to rear panel connector

Both channel with unit change / values change

Those errors seem a bit large, unless the simulator is out of specification. What does your F25 read when connected to the simulator? Were you using a 4-wire connection?

Oh, and do you have the key for the calibration enable switch? ;)

Hello

this simulator is basic simulator +/- 0.1 C from the 80's and not a calibrator , the purpose was to show this ASL works and is not '' out of order ''

Asap I have time I will connect a 100 ohm 0.01 % or any other value

Hello

I have check with other simulator , I link the Time Electronic PDF , hard to locate  simulator better than 0.1 C except in the high price range as ADR-3204GR Precision Programmable Resistance Box from Alpha Electronics

Vishay propose foil resistor with 0.005 % , I have one in 175 Ohms  I will make a trial

I sale my ASL F250 as it I don't want to spend money in calibration costs

For me, the values seems correct because there are no 4 wire connections.

Certainly, the errors are in the right direction for a two-wire effect. I think the risk might be damage to the reference resistor, or a self-balancing bridge issue. Both would be difficult and/or expensive to fix :(

Hello

Ok I will make the test with a 4 wire resistor to provide the proof of the displayed value

Hello

Point 1 ) My AOIP simulator is a two wires model but the connection ( rear and front ) are 4 wires and I have respected the wiring , that impossible to read resistor value with only two wires connected as that mandatory to provide current to the resistor and measure the voltage
Point 2 ) The ASL F250 can be ''bespoke'' calibrated and that possible to change calibration regarding the probes you fit on , that clearly explain in the doc in PDF I have linked ( page 13 to 27 in detail )
Point 3) I always respect the measuring equipment .
Point 4 ) I have used this ASL F250 only to measure delta temperature variation so I never change the initial calibration setup
