I bought this ADF5355 based generator/sweeper thinking that it would be able to produce 13.6GHz fundamentals - maybe because the vendor said it would ("Wide Output Range:Generates 54 MHz~13,600 MHz RF output", product description here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000576505278.html (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000576505278.html)).
However it only really goes to 6.8GHz plus a strong 2nd harmonic at the claimed high frequency. Not what I wanted. It also sweeps from 250MHz to 6.8GHz.
The vendor is really uncooperative. Before I invest additional money into sending the item back to later hear that it never arrived, I'd rather make a loss and give it to someone else at a discount. It is brand new.
Price €100 + shipping from Austria.
The spectrum analyzer shows the generator set to 6GHz at +5dBm output with a 20dBm attenuator at the input of the spectrum analyzer + 10dBm internal attenuation from the spectrum analyzer (the cable is a short RG316, so some attenuation from that).
