Hi,

I'm clearing out my loft and have a Fluke 3330B that was one of the first things I bought to try and repair, however it's missing a board which at the time (many years ago) I seemed to think was the pre-regulator board? It's also missing the top cover. Everything else appears to be complete ... although look at the photos.

I always had a plan to either find a spare, or even make my own version of the board, but I ended up with a selection of Datron calibrators and never went back to it.

Even if not intending to repair there's a whole lot of useful spares in there!

So any interest? Make me an offer ... shipping in the UK is about £25 with UPS which is amazing because this thing is big and heavy!

Lee.

Can I buy just the rack ears for the 3330b (assuming they are factory)? Also if anyone wants a picture of the missing board I can take a picture from one of mine.

Hi,

Ha ha -- I've just boxed it up ready for shipping, but I'm hesitant to start breaking it up at this point. If someone wants it, but doesn't want the mounting brackets then absolutely, or if there's no other interest then I'll whip them off for you.

Lee.

What's up with the thumbnails ? When expanded, they show your Keithley current source.

You're right, I believe that's a long standing forum bug. Best might be if Lee could reupload the broken pictures (IMG_0435, IMG_0437, IMG_440).

Very strange ... they all seemed fine to me. But I've re-uploaded them anyway.

The forum image bug can be avoided by not using the first attachment and starting with the second attachment.

If shipping to USA wasn't more than the value of the unit, I'd be interested in more than just the rack ears lol. Maybe the boards aswell as the relays are unobtainium.

Nominally interested but very unsure about value. Old calibrators always seem unduly expensive to me. Perhaps I'm just too cheap.

It's a very nice old thing, and still relevant today, for calibrating certainly 4.5 digit, and probably most 5.5 digit meters. The problem is there's a lot of cosmetic parts missing, and the missing board would very likely not be easy to find/replace, in fact probably easier to make a new one from the schematics.

Once you've done that, you can find out if there are any other problems with it...

Even so, If I had the spare cash I'd make a silly offer on it!   :-DD

Blimey ... tough crowd!

I was thinking £100 (plus shipping) ... I just want to get rid of it at this point, and I don't really want to break it up if possible.

Surely that an amazing bargain?

(A quick look and shipping to CA, USA is about £165)

I'll stick it on eBay tomorrow, so PM me if you want to get in before that!

Cheers,

Lee.

Hello
I had sent you a PN the day before yesterday.
Did this not arrive?

I'd pay 50usd + shipping for just the ears if they are in decent condition. Not really breaking it up as most people don't need to rackmount it.

Ok ... it looks like I've got a sale.

basti_r --> yes I got your PM, but I really don't want to break it up and sell it in pieces.

super7800 --> the buyer doesn't need the ears, so I'll take them off and ship them to you. I'll be in touch shortly.

Thanks all,

Lee.

Second two pictures of the missing board. Hope this helps on the repair! I can take pics of my other units boards aswell, but iirc they are very similar. Looks like there's only two unobtanium parts, the read relay and the special resistor package.

And thank you essele for ending my years long quest to find 3330b rack ears. Now they both match and the one doesn't slide around when I go to use it! 10/10 amazing seller. For anyone curious, the 3330b can be controlled using ttl/ contact closures very easily. I use the hp 3499a for this.
