Bought one off Ebay. Very nice unit, shipped quickly. If you've ever wanted a high quality, flexible GPSDO, this is worth your consideration. |

I noticed ebay's global shipping program frequently no longer shipping to Germany and it seems now also to other EU countries, probably an effect of what is discussed here: --- Quote from: Haenk on December 18, 2024, 06:01:09 pm --- --- Quote from: pope on December 15, 2024, 09:26:24 pm ---You mean that even within EU you have to register/pay to be able to sell to German market? --- End quote --- Funny thing is - all other EU countries are ramping up these $h1tty regulations as well. Germany has just been a bit faster to adopt EU regulations, and all the other EU countries did ignore most of the regulations until now. Not any longer, though. As a small company, it is pretty much impossible to do EU-wide business in the future - every single country uses their own registration setup, their own fee structure, some require an in-country representant. Worse: Even if you are sending just a few business letters, those envelopes are considered waste and you do need to register for EPR. Not kidding, and somehow most people don't know (yet) what the green parties have pushed through EU legislation. There is no grace amount, which is IMHO a huge error. Sure, if you dump 10000 refrigirators into Austria, that certainly has to be regulated. But sending a simple letter requires pretty much the same upfront registration costs. That's a couple of hundred EUR for Austria alone. I noticed that blockage on Aliexpress, too. Fortunately, there is still Superbuy, which sources from TaoBao, and therefor is quite a bit cheaper than AliExpress. No country penalty as of now. And really good service (no, unfortunately, I don't get paid for saying this...) --- End quote --- The shipping problem may be triggered by giving "the wrong" input to ebay's questions (commercial vs private transaction .... and things like that). |
