I bought this supply faulty and managed to get it working. It was out of the case laid out on the table and after replacing a few ICs if worked and seemed fine. I put it back in to the case and a fuse on the board blew and I got an overload msg. I must have shorted something putting it back together.

It has some option that has an extra PCB with a relay on it.

I took it all out again and could see anything obvious so I've tucked it all back in and left it.

If you buy it DO NOT plug it in. I left the cables inside disconnected and I've removed the fuse just in case.

It's reasonably good condition and I have a new rear bezel for it.

I'm selling it as For Parts but I'm sure the smarter them me out their would get this going.

$100 picked up in Sydney, Aus.

I believe the PCB you've seen with the relays on it is "Opt 760 Isolation and Reversal relays".

I didn't know such an option exists.  I happen to have a 6612C and would be interested in that PCB (or rather the whole opt 760 assembly, assuming cables etc. are part of it), if whoever buys the PSU finds it not economically repairable.

Mine has the "Opt 760" installed, I have taken some pictures of it.

I've got the unit, I have every intention to get it fully working again. :)

Whole unit is very clean, could hardly find out whats wrong with it visually. I'm still making time to work out whats wrong with it.

The service manual isn't as comprehensive as other agilent service manuals. Just hoping the FPGA isn't dead.

Cheers for the extra images of the opt 760 assembly. If you're desperate, I don't think it'll be too difficult to spin one out as there isn't any active components on that assembly.

ULN2003 isn't an active component?   ;D

I think the key thing on replicating this option would be the guard traces that snake around everything.  Those are probably overkill as this isn't an SMU, but I assume some of the connections are the sense inputs.

Unfortunately my unit is an HP 6612B which doesn't seem to support option 760.

Not really in my book. They're just a bunch of darlington transistors.. :P
