Beautiful. If I could afford it, I would have already bought.
My AD2000 will have to do for a few more years.

Sorry for the semi-offtopic, but were you also selling some 245 tips? If so, i need a thin conical tip to clean up the pads after chipquiking.

Thanks, replied in the tip thread. Worried that 903 is too big though... Any thoughts?

What kind of pads are you talking about? Can you be more precise on the size, pitch, chip package?

@img: tips have been shipped this morning.

Added free shipping to EU for the JBC station kit.

Thanks!

PS It's pretty unusual that the station hasn't sold yet... I thought it would be gone very quickly.

The CD-2BC is only 350euros +VAT. I suspect that a lot of people that buy high end soldering stations will be VAT registered, so an old model for an extra 9 euros, even with a couple of extra tips isn't exactly a bargain. If you're not VAT registered then it's a little more tempting if you do a lot of small soldering.

I know, as a VAT registered buyer you can probably find other way to get it.
But for normal people this kit would cost more than 470€, so it doesn't seem a bad offer.
I could put it on evilbay and sell it in a couple of day, but I don't want to give them 40-45€ for their "services", at least not now.

Both KJDS and flash.pc have valid points...
True, the station isn't cheap, not in a bargain category, but the price is not insane.

And now some requests (please don't think that I am hijacking the thread, it just makes more sense to request JBC stuff here).

If you look, say, at the manual of the JT7700, you'll see a collection of protectors with suction cups and some tripods. Are you able to get such accessories? It doesn't have to be precisely the ones for JT7700, but I need the larger sizes of protectors, big enough to fit GPU BGA's. It's probably a long shot, but worth asking.

I would also like, if available, the following tips:

http://www.jbctools.com/c245913-cartridge-for-t245-handpiece-product-426-category-4.html
http://www.jbctools.com/c245121-chrome-finish-designed-for-plastic-rivets-product-440-category-4.html
...and also mini spoons and knife tips.

Thank you, and please keep us posted about incoming JBC goods.

Bought this unit, and got it today.
Extremely well packaged, and very fast delivery.

Tested it a bit, and think I will newer regret bying the JBC, even if it was the previous model, I found that the only difference so far is the external USB, but that can be solved with an adapter, if I ever can find an real need for that.

These C245 cartridges seems a lot better than the one for Hakko fm2028, atleast from the mechanical aspect.
Very fast heatup time, and the sleepfunction seems to be very good on this station, some would probably say that this is way overkill for hobby usage, but hey.. ;)

I have received the JBC-2BB unit ordered from flash.pc.

Until now I have been using soldering stations in the price range of 50-150USD. I have only tested my new JBC unit for a couple of days, but it is worlds, or rather universes, apart from my old tools. I am as happy as can be. My main use of soldering is for repairing hard drive PCBs, which is all SMT. But also putting together micro controller cards, and even occasional through hole thingies.

I would like to thank flash.pc very much. He did pay attention to the sales side of this transaction in excellent ways: unit was well packaged, and shipped quickly. He also provided very clear communication all the way until I received the package. If this were ebay, flash.pc would have received all 5 stars feedback from me. As well as heartily recommandations to other prospective buyers.

Agreed!, this type of solderingstation is worlds apart from the cheapos.. (Even my hakko 888d.. )

Only "sad" thing is that these cartdridges are not easily available on ebay (or other places), but again, luckily we are out of the clone market it seems, so only quality stuff ;)
