factory closed since the economic condition, now I collected many desoldering braid in hand, Ebay sell, very cheap, 10 bobbins only 9.99 USD, include 16035, 18035, 18045;

I just searched on Chemtronics. Its website gives no mention of "closing." Please provide a link to that news. Am I suspicious?

A search on "soder-wick" (note correct spelling) + "discontinued" gave no relevant hits.

He never said Chemtronics closed. More likely it was a factory that closed after they had ordered some Chemtronics braid and he's clearing stock.
Also, solder is the correct spelling in the UK at least. I think it's even spelled that way in countries where it's pronounced "sodder".

I strongly suspect the trademark is spelled the same way in each country, which is SODER-WICK.
We will see. In any event, I see no rush to stock up.

Ah - you're right about the brand name. It's clearly soder-wick on the packaging.

pls be aware "Chemtronics" and "SODER-WICK" are registered by it's owner, no one can not change it for their product.

this is factory use so they purchase more than 300 cans, and few people know the brand, no any faked product in the world, at least, according my 35 years electronic experience, never found fake in China.

now only remain SW18045, actually I like the wide braid, in most of case; only in the BGA point repair, use the narrow braid.

Ahh, the marginally legal fees the couriers charge for the privilege of paying your own taxes. Always fun, those.

Well, that depends on the custom tax levels in various countries, and if you are lucky. (and if the seller puts lower value than real).

I always put the amount as one, since it is a "lots sell".

Not sure how other contries does this, but for Norway, the price for goods AND shipping need to below 350NOK (which is about $44 now), if it's above that, we need to pay 25% tax, and then one need to pay a handling fee which is about $20.
The packages you sell now with 3 in each is below this amount so for me it's no problem, but how this is calculated in other contries I don't know.
When I bought the package of 6, I got lucky I think, since it was not stopped in customs :)
