@electronupdate, I've got a 60MHz scope so I'm not pushing the envelope on these probes. Good video. I forget what the the pin is that comes out the end of the tek probe. Is that relevant to this test?
If I was doing something critical I would find a new set of probes based on what I've read here. I've also got a better understanding of the probe. For a beginner it might actually be good advice to expect to pay more for a set of probes than a used beginner analog scope.
For the sake of discussion what probes would be recommended for a used analog scope, say to 100MHz?
Most of the used scopes do not include probes.
Maybe all those missing probes are floating in the Pacific trash gyre.
